SHORT BIO:

Skip Bolen is a southern photographer of musicians, architecture, lifestyle and the culture of New Orleans. Specializes shooting stills photography (with a Jacobson Sound Blimp) for film production and promotion - including unit, episodic, and behind-the-scenes images of actors, crew and production. Also specializing in documentary and special event photography. His photographs are in public and private collections, among them the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans. Currently photographs for Getty Images, WireImage.com, Rolling Stone, VH-1, DownBeat Magazine, JazzTimes Magazine, Where New Orleans and many others. Represented by Getty Images and WireImage.com.

The geek stuff: Complete pro-digital and film service - I'm shooting with a pro Canon EOS-1D Mk II N and Mk III camera shooting RAW (and jpeg) format, processing on an Apple G5 Quad Processor with Apple 30 inch monitors, Apple-Intel MacBook Pro with Adobe CS3, Adobe Lightroom and FotoStation Pro. I also shoot film with a Leica R8 system.
