All black+white and color images featured on this website are available as both Limited Edition and affordable Open Edition Archival Pigment prints. All Limited Edition Archival Pigment prints come embossed and hand signed on the front and hand stamped and signed on the back with detailed information about when and where the photograph was taken. All Open Edition Pigment prints come hand signed. These are printed on archival fiber-based photographic paper and are made with wide borders (usually one-half to one-inch) to protect the actual image and to allow space for matting and framing. All black-and-white photos are archival silver-gelatin prints, printed on Agfa Classic III fiber-base photographic paper (or something similar since Agfa is no longer in business) after being hand processed, toned, washed and air-dried by archival guidelines -- the gold standard of the fine-art photography world. The prints are made with wide borders (usually one-half to one-inch) to protect the actual image area from any degradation over time, to allow space for matting and to accommodate the occasional waviness caused by air-drying. Any waviness normally falls out shortly after the photograph is framed. All images are finished to exhibition quality, come stamped on the back, embossed along the edge and hand signed on the back along with detailed information about when and where the photograph was taken.
Most 11 x 14 inch photos are in stock and are shipped within a week, often within 72 hours. A large selection of popular 16 x 20 and 20 x24 inch prints are in stock and are shipped in less than a week; those not in stock take about 2 - 4 weeks to print and ship. Framing costs are extra and generally adds an additional 1 - 2 weeks to delivery time. However, we do handle rush orders and we offer express shipping in order to meet all the needs of our customers. The images shown on this website are presented as samples of Skip Bolen's work and in no way come close to showing the richness and depth of tonal qualities in an original fiber-base photographic paper print. No 72dpi digital image can compare with an original fiber-base photographic paper print.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
Delivery of photographs will vary. Most 11 x14 inch photos are in stock and are shipped within a week, often within 72 hours. Are any of the photos from limited editions?
Though a vast majority of my photographs are open editions, there are a number of limited-edition photos.
Are these REAL photographs?
Yes. All my black-and-white photos are archival silver-gelatin and archival pigment prints that are printed on fiber-base photographic paper. The prints are made with wide borders (usually one-half to one-inch) to protect the actual image area and to allow space for matting and to accommodate the occasional waviness caused by air-drying. Any waviness normally falls out shortly after the photograph is framed.
What is the size of the prints?
Photos can be ordered as 11 x 14, 16 x 20 or 20 x 24 - those dimensions are the standard sizes that photo paper comes on. My Limited Edition photos generally have one-half to one-inch borders and are embossed in the lower right-hand corner with the name, "Skip Bolen" and are hand-signed and stamped on reverse. My Open Edition prints are hand-signed in the lower right-hand corner.
What kind of framing do you offer?
Our quality frames are made with one-inch black wood and eight-ply archival matting. They are wired and ready to hang. The matting adds about three to four inches on each side of the photo, so an 11 x 14 inch print will measure about 18 x 22 inch when framed. Frames for customers in New Orleans come with glass and are sent by messenger or hand delivered. For customers outside the city, Plexiglas is used and the framed photos are shipped by Federal Express with second-day delivery. Can orders be placed from Canada, Mexico and overseas?
Yes. Shipping is $30 for the first pound and $5 for each additional pound. Orders will be shipped via Federal Express Economy.
Can orders be placed from Puerto Rico and Hawaii?
Yes. Shipping is $15 for the first pound and $3 for each additional pound. Orders will be shipped via Federal Express 2-Day Air.
Can orders be placed from APO/FPO locations?
Yes. Shipping is $5 for the first pound and $2 for each additional pound. Orders will be shipped via United States Postal Service Priority.
Can I order a photo larger than 36 x40 inches?
